Pressing the emergency alert button will signal the console to automatically call the Emergency Monitoring Center that is staffed by trained professionals 24 hours a day. When these operators receive your call, they notify the key people whom you have preselected to respond in specific situations: family members, neighbors, friends, or appropriate rescue personnel.
